Clinton denounces UNESCO's Jerusalem resolution

Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton repeated her disapproval of the Palestinian-Jordanian UNESCO resolution which erases the Jewish origins of Jerusalem, shortly before the text is expected to pass a vote at the body's World Heritage Committee on Wednesday morning.
“It is disappointing and wrong to see that UNESCO’s World Heritage Committee is considering a resolution on Jerusalem that fails to recognize and respect the deep and historic ties of the Jewish people to Jerusalem and its holy sites," the statement read.
Calling last week's Executive Board vote - which passed 24 against six - "outrageous," the campaign release said that the former Secretary of State has, and will continue to stand with Israel at the UN.
Israel is expecting an even heavier defeat on Wednesday morning than it suffered last week. None of the countries which voted against the motion - the US, the Netherlands, Germany, Estonia, Britain and Lithuania – are on the World Heritage Committee.
