Filipina care-worker arrested on suspicion of abusing 89-year-old woman

Police arrested a Filipino care-worker on Saturday, suspected of assaulting and abusing an elderly 89-year-old woman, who she treats in her home in Ramat Hasharon, it was reported in Maariv.
The caregiver, 38, was brought for questioning by the police. Today she will be brought to the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court for a hearing on the police's request to extend her detention.
The family of the old woman installed cameras in her house and yesterday they noticed an incident in which the care-worker hit and beat her. The police gathered the cameras to see if there were other incidents. The investigation is at its first stages.
Last April, a Filipino nursing caregiver was arrested on suspicion of abusing a 78-year-old woman from Rishon Letzion. The suspect, 28, was arrested for questioning. The investigation raised the suspicion that in a number of cases documented by a camera set up by the elderly woman's family,
