Pro-Palestinian activists protest during PM's AIPAC speech

Protesters from a pro-Palestinian group based in the US interrupted Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's speech on Monday to the American-Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC).
The five protesters, from the Move Over AIPAC coalition led by CODEPINK: Women for Peace, held banners and chanted slogans during the speech, according to a statement released by the group. The protesters were escorted out by security.
One of the protesters, Rick Colbath-Hess, said, "Growing up as the son of Holocaust survivor, I learned that it is everyone’s job to stand up for others when they are persecuted, and I learned what happens when we don't defend humanity. Now, it is my job to stand up in support of Palestinians, saying, 'bombing schools is indefensible, bulldozing homes is indefensible.'"
The protest is part of a week-long set of demonstrations against AIPAC. The activists are expected to be in the halls of Congress during Netanyahu's speech scheduled for later Tuesday.
