PM to Hadassah: I will not tolerate discrimination of women

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu thanked Hadassah for its century of efforts on behalf of Israel Thursday night and pledged that as long as he is prime minister, "I will never tolerate discrimination of women."
Speaking at the organization's centennial gala in Jerusalem,  Netanyahu said that more than anything else, it was Israel's treatment of women that separated it from the "medieval forces" in the region. He quoted his father as telling him that if he wanted to "understand the power of women, look at Hadassah."
Netanyahu also acknowledged the year anniversary to the release of Gilad Schalit, saying "how good it is that you are back home."
"Today our enemy sanctifies death and terrorism," he said. "We will continue to fight them and sanctify life."
