Rocket sirens in northern Israel false alarm - IDF

The red alert which sounded throughout the Western Galilee region of northern Israel was a false alarm, the IDF's Home Front Command confirmed.

The IDF stated that the false alarm was due to incorrect identification.

A red alert was activated after rocket sirens sounded around 8:30 a.m. on Friday morning.

Alerts were sounded in the communities of Abirim, Elkosh, Peki'in, Mount Meron Field School, Hurfeish, Netu'a, Fassuta, Tzvi'on and Tzuriel.
