Lebanon border heats up as Hamas continues firing rockets into Israel
The IDF responded by attacking military infrastructure in southern Lebanon with helicopters.
Sirens were heard in western Galilee on Sunday afternoon close to the Lebanon border in the towns of Nahariya, Rosh Hanikra, Hanita, Gesher HaZiv, Betzet, and Shlomi.
Hamas in Lebanon took responsibility for the rocket fire.
A spokesperson for the Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya announced they received eight people who had been wounded by the rocket fire.

The director of Magen David Adom’s Blood Services Division – which is responsible for the Health Ministry’s breast milk bank, has expressed concern that unsupervised milk donations from abroad or even in Israel could be a target for the introduction of toxins meant to harm or even kill babies.
Magen David Adom has issued a warning to Israelis against using human breast milk that has recently been sent from other countries, explaining it could endanger the lives of babies and even cause death.

Hamas thinks Israel will break apart, but Israel will break Hamas, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said at the emergency government's first cabinet meeting on Sunday.

The backlog of ships is growing at Israeli ports while operations continue at most terminals amid preparations by the military to launch a ground assault in the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip, according to data and sources.
Israel has vowed to annihilate Hamas in retaliation for a rampage in which its fighters stormed through Israeli towns a week ago, shooting civilians and seizing scores of hostages in the worst attack on civilians in Israel's history.
Israel has faced heavy rocket barrages including in the south of the country, which has prompted the closure of Ashkelon port, which is the nearest terminal to Gaza.
Ashdod port has imposed restrictions on the transport of hazardous materials which has meant slower transits.
The port said in its latest statement posted on its website that it continued to operate as normal "even under wartime," adding that it was prepared to continue to supply Israel's economy with everything that was needed "around the clock" to ensure the population did not experience shortages.
Ship tracking and maritime analytics
At least three cargo and dry bulk ships carrying cargo bound for Ashdod had stopped in waters nearby, with a further three vessels including an oil tanker and a container ship heading for the port, data from ship tracking and maritime analytics provider MarineTraffic showed on Sunday.

Tens of thousands of donated bullet-proof vests, helmets, and other much-needed military equipment items are en route to the country, according to a joint statement from the IDF, the Defense Ministry, and the Association for the Well-being of Soldiers on Saturday night.
According to the statement, the incoming influx of supplies includes more than 50,000 ceramic vests, over 20,000 helmets, and tens of thousands of combat items such as protective glasses and knee protectors.
