Border Police officer recounts terrorist attack in Hebron
Bystanders alerted police in the area when they noticed a suspicious looking person holding a bag near the Armon promenade.

In a statement released by Jerusalem Police Saturday, a Border Policewoman stationed in Hebron, only known as R, recalls the moments of an attack in which a female Palestinian terrorist stabbed and wounded her."After I asked the suspect for her identification, we began our inspection," according to R. "The terrorist then pulled out a knife and attempted to stab me. Another Border Police officer pushed her away, giving me enough time to cock my weapon and neutralize the the terrorist.""I responded as any other Border Police officer would. Luckily this incident culminated in this manner and without [Israeli] casualties," she added.Bystanders alerted police in the area when they noticed a suspicious looking person holding a bag near the Armon promenade in Hebron. Police began to immediately search the area, locating a suspicious looking person on the street and began an inspection.According to Border Police, security forces asked the suspect for her identification, and shortly afterwards she pulled out a knife and attempted to stab the female Border Police officer.The attack on the Border Police office in officer was the third attempted stabbing attack carried out by Palestinians targeting Israelis on Saturday.Earlier in the day, the Israeli target of another knife attack in Hebron shot and killed the terrorist. The Israeli was not wounded in the attempted attack.Shortly after the initial Hebron attack, a terrorist was shot and killed in Jerusalem's Armon Hanatziv neighborhood after trying to stab an Israeli.
