Shin Bet foils plot to smuggle in raw materials for construction of rockets
A similar smuggling attempt was foiled a week earlier, according to the Shin Bet, when smugglers attempted to import fiberglass hidden in a shipment containing school supplies.

The Shin Bet released for publication on Monday that Israeli Security forces, along with custom officials, prevented the smuggling of two tons of fiberglass into the Gaza Strip through the Nitzana border, raw-materials essential for constructing long-range rockets.According to the Shin Bet, custom official's became suspicious after a shipment of clothing and textiles also contained the fiberglass, which was not on the itinerary.A similar smuggling attempt was foiled a week earlier, according to the Shin Bet, when smugglers attempted to import fiberglass hidden in a shipment containing school supplies through the Kerem Shalom crossing into the Gaza Strip.The Shin Bet said that both traffickers were apprehended in each case.
