Health Ministry director-general Moshe Bar Siman Tov has been named an executive member of health committee of the Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) of which 34 advanced countries participate.Bar Siman Tov, an economist and the ministry’s first-ever non-physician, was approved unanimously by the committee.
A senior OECD official said the Israeli’s “great experience will contribute much to the work of the health committee.”Bar Siman Tov responded said his election was a sign of honor that the Israeli health system is respected by the OECD and the states that are members. “We will deepen our mutual learning,” he added
