Buses collide near Holon, over 60 injured

A bus traveling east-bound to Tel Aviv crashed into multiple cars injuring over 60 people on Sunday morning. One 28-year-old women was moderately injured and around 60 others were lightly injured.
The bus was traveling on route 44 near the Holon Junction around 9 a.m., when it apparently lost control, police said they are investigating the cause of the crash. The bus careened into traffic hitting multiple cars and another bus and then reaching a stop on a hill on the other side of the highway.
34 of the injured were evacuated to the Sourasky Medical Center in Tel Aviv, the Wolfson Medical Center in Holon, the Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer, the Rabin Medical Center in Petah Tikva and the Assaf HaRofeh Medical Center outside Tel Aviv.
An Egged bus company spokesman said that negligent driving by the bus driver is a possible cause of the accident. “The initial assessment by experts on the scene is that it is possible this was the result of human failure, but we will investigate the matter thoroughly,” the spokesman said as quoted by Ynet News.
