BEIRUT - The commander of the YPG Syrian Kurdish militia said the country's civil war could continue for 10 years, in an interview published on Thursday by monitoring group the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
Sipan Hemo, whose group has seized wide areas of territory from Islamic State in northeast Syria this year, said a solution to the four-year-old war was out of Syrian hands, with the country at the mercy of world powers invested militarily in the conflict.
