Trump blasts Wisconsin governor, defends campaign manager

In a campaign speech in Wisconsin, US Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump on Wednesday (March 30) criticized the state's governor for endorsing his rival and doubled down on support for his spokesman who was arrested this week for battery on a reporter.
In an almost hourlong speech, Trump emphasized the importance of the upcoming Wisconsin primary on April 5 and slammed Governor Scott Walker's choice to back US Senator Ted Cruz.
"I wouldn't say that your governor loves me because, no, I knocked him out. You know, he endorsed lyin' Ted Cruz. Lyin' Ted. He's a liar. Bible high, puts it down and then he lies. You know. He's a liar. I never met a liar like him. I met a lot tougher people than him, but I never met a guy that lied as much," Trump said.
Trump repeated a vow before supporters to stand by his campaign manager Corey Lewandowski despite the aide's arrest over a misdemeanor battery charge, drawing criticism from rivals.
