West Bank teen arrested as suspect in stabbing of Jewish woman in Rahat

Security forces have arrested a young man suspected of carrying out a stabbing attack against a Jewish woman in the Beduin city of Rahat on February 6, the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) announced Wednesday.
According to Southern District police, a woman in her 60s was shopping at the local market in Rahat when an assailant stabbed and wounded her in the neck and fled the scene on foot.
During searches of the suspect's escape route, security fores collected forensics evidence that led them to locate and arrest the approximately 17-year-old suspect in his home in the West Bank town of Yatta on Febraury 10.
