Rockets from Gaza fired toward southern Israel, no injuries

Palestinian terrorists in the Gaza Strip attempted to fire multiple rockets toward southern Israel Wednesday night.The Code Red rocket alert siren sounded in Sderot and surrounding communities around midnight.Security forces were searching for the remains of a projectile.Earlier Wednesday, the rocket siren was activated in the Sha'ar Hanegev Regional Council. Israeli media reported that the projectile had landed in an open area near the southern border, seemingly in Palestinian territory.No injuries or damage were reported in either of the incidents.On Monday evening, Israel Air Force planes struck a Palestinian rocket-launching cell about to fire rockets at southern Israel from northern Gaza.The military said the air strike targeted a terrorist cell that was in the final stage of preparations before firing a rocket.Yaakov Lappin contributed to this report.
