Israel working with France over Lee Zeitouni killing

The State Attorney's Office announced on Sunday morning that Israeli authorities are in contact with their counterparts in France regarding two French tourists suspected of killing Lee Zeitouni in a hit-and-run on Friday morning.
Zeitouni, a Pilates instructor, was on her way to a gym to give a class when she was struck by a black BMW sports utility vehicle on Pinkhas Street. She was killed instantly.
Police suspect that Claude Issac, 40, and and Eric Rubic, 38, flew to Paris with their families soon after the lethal hit and run, and obtained an international arrest warrant from the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court on Saturday night.
If the police investigation reveals sufficient evidence to prosecute the two suspects, Israeli authorities will ask the French government to extradite them or prosecute them in France, the State Attorney's Office said.
