Marcel-Jacques Dubois, winner of the Israel Prize, died overnight Friday at the age of 87. Dubois, a Dominican priest and professor of philosophy, helped save Jewish children during the Holocaust.
Dubois, born in France, moved to Jerusalem in 1962 to lead the local Dominican order. He taught Israeli students about Christianity and was awarded the Israel Prize in 1996 for his special contribution to the Israeli society in 1996.
