The Israel Allies Foundation announced on Wednesday that it had hired E.J. Kimball as its Washington director to lead its efforts in working with lawmakers in the US Congress.The Israel Allies Foundation works to promote communication and cooperation between parliamentarians and legislators around the world who are united in the belief that the State of Israel has the right to exist in peace within secure borders.The appointment comes at a time of a US policy shift in response to the major upheaval in the Middle East and North Africa.
“It is imperative that Congress fully grasp the impact these decisions have had on our allies in the region,” Kimball said. “I am excited to work to help the caucus membership grow in a bipartisan manner to reinforce the strong relationship that the US and Israel have maintained for more than 60 years.”Kimball has served in the national security arena for the past eight years, providing security briefings to members of Congress, law enforcement officials and business leaders on the ideological threats facing the United States and Israel.Kimball’s congressional experience includes the creation of the bipartisan Congressional Anti-Terrorism Caucus, which he directed from 2007 to 2008.
