The Jerusalem Post is returning to New York for the third of its highly successful conferences on the State of Israel.
The conference, which will take place on April 6, 2014 at the Marriott Hotel in Manhattan, will focus on the security challenges facing Israel and the Jewish state's place on the global stage in terms of investment and tourism.
The line-up of experts, analysts and politicians will include Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman; Ido Aharoni, the Israeli consul-general in New York; Justice Minister Tzipi Livni and Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat. Together, they will tackle the issues facing Israel today.
As always, the conference will include a range of senior Jerusalem Post journalists, including Editor-in-Chief Steve Linde, Senior Contributing Editor Caroline B. Click, Diplomatic Correspondent Herb Keinon, as well as CEO Ronit Hasin-Hochman.
“This is the third year that we are having the conference which is considered one of the Jewish world’s most significant events,” says Hasin-Hochman. “We are proud of the fact that through this conference we can provide Jewish community leaders with the opportunity to have a direct dialogue with Israeli top leaders and decision makers.”
The April 2013 conference drew international attention, in particular for a vigorous debate between Glick and noted pro-Israel advocate Alan Dershowitz. The two sparred during a discussion on the two-state solution, making for one of the highlights of the event.
As in previous years, the conference is expected to sell out its 1,500 audience spots, and garner extensive coverage by almost 100 cameras from Israeli and international media.
