The head of the IDF's Central Command spoke today regarding the Operation Brother's Keeper, not far from where the kidnapping took place.Maj.-Gen. Nitzan Alon said they are in the middle of a complicated operation to catch the terrorists behind the kidnapping, while simultaneously working to find the kidnapped boys and bring them home."We are fighting a Hamas, a cruel terror organization in this is a complicated situation. [The fight against Hamas] didn't start today and it's not going to end anytime soon," he said.Alon said the IDF has 10 brigades and special forces working to attack Hamas at all its ranks."The heads of Hamas are feeling the hits and getting the message. Hamas is going to come out of this operation weaker," Alon said in closing. Alon spoke on the fifth day of Operation Brothers's Keeper, a thousand soldiers launched raids in Nablus's Balata and Awarta areas. A total of 200 suspects have been arrested since the start of the operation.
In addition to the arrests, soldiers on Tuesday seized guns, explosives, and grenades. A security source said a large quantity of weapons was recovered during the arrests, describing the raids as a large-scale counter-terrorism clean-up operation.Ya'akov Lappin contributed to this story.
