In the second part of our trip to the Western Wall Tunnels, we visit an interesting segment of the tunnels, built during the Middle Ages and the time of the Maccabees. We explore a man-made aqueduct that was used to store and channel water to Jerusalem.

In this CITYsights episode, you will discover stones that were toppled from the Western Wall in the summer of 70 CE by the Romans who destroyed the Temple. The destruction of the Temple is commemorated each year on the "9th of Av" fast and by breaking a glass under the chupah in a Jewish wedding ceremony. In the video you can see some of the ruins from that period. We will talk along an ancient street dating back 2,000 years ago.
