The Ministry of Tourism held their annual reception at the Leonardo Hotel in Jerusalem in honor of the upcoming Christian holidays. Dozens of the most important Christian community leaders living in Israel attended.The Minister of Tourism, Stas Misezhnikov expressed Israel’s desire to continue sharing a fruitful relationship with the Christian world and in the festive spirit wished everyone – Jews, Arabs and Christians – a good respective holiday.A video was shown on the newly inaugurated Gospel trail, created by the iTravelJerusalem.com team. The Gospel trail, a 60 kilometer walk from Nazareth to Copernicaum, gives pilgrims the opportunity to walk in the footsteps of Jesus and was designed to further increase the numbers of Christian tourists who visit Israel each year.The head of the Christian Churches in Jerusalem thanked the Ministry of Tourism for holding the event and for bringing everyone together. He spoke of the Christian community’s desire to bring more pilgrims to the Holy Land in order to give both a spiritual and economic boost to the country.
