In an unpublished interview with the Shas party's Haderech newspaper, Shas party chairman Arye Deri voiced his opposition to the IDF drafting haredi Torah students, Israeli media reported Wednesday.
He said, "Torah students will continue to study in any situation, and no one will be drafted into the army, not even one Torah student. We will fight for it with all our strength."
