A fire broke out on Israel's Highway 1 on Monday near the Shaar Hagai interchange.
Fire and Rescue Authority personnel from Beir Shemesh arrived at the scene to extinguish the fire.
The fire had spread to the forest next to the highway, with the spread being fast and extensive due to strong winds, according to the Fire and Rescue Authority.
No casualties have been reported so far.
Hours later, the fire was brought under control, according to Walla.
