GAZA/JERUSALEM - U.N.- and Egyptian-mediated talks on a deal to tamp down tensions between Israel and the Gaza Strip are in 'advanced stages,' a senior member of the Palestinian enclave's dominant Islamist Hamas group said on Wednesday.
