IDF Arab spokesperson: Before Ramadan, Gaza terrorists escalate tensions

"On the eve of the month of Ramadan terrorist groups in the Gaza Strip operate to escalate tensions, destroy the calmness, and worsen the situation of Gaza residents," he wrote.

IDF Arab spokesperson Avichay Adraee slammed Gaza terrorist factions after Palestinian snipers shot two IDF soldiers on Friday. 
 
The two were taken to hospital. The IAF responded with striking a Hamas post in Gaza and the IDF shelled Bureij refugee camp.   
 

"The shooting terrorist attack that took place as part of violent disturbances of the peace is a grave incident meant to kill soldiers," Adraee wrote on Arabic social media, Channel 10 news reporter Or Heller tweeted.

"On the eve of the month of Ramadan terrorist groups in the Gaza Strip operate to escalate tensions, destroy the calmness and worsen the situation of Gaza residents," he wrote. 
The month of fasting is due to begin on May 6th.
