Archaeologists found a nearly complete peahen fresco, missing its head, dating to the mid-first century B.C., that may have belonged to Poppaea Sabina, the second wife of Emperor Nero.

The experts who analysed the coins believe, based on the dates on the coins, that the discovery unburied a treasure which was buried between A.D. 280 and 310.

A targeted operation at "Burj Lasana," in Area B, near Wadi Haramiya, recovered Crusader- and Byzantine-era items from a villa built inside the site.

“It sheds light on the architectural style and the function of the site, which is not mentioned by Josephus, our only historical source for the period,” Dr. Raviv, director of the excavation, said.

The Roman-era city-building series returns upgraded, with a brilliant narrative campaign, a fleet of ships, and new military, civilian, and diplomatic units.

While the robotics teams worked on designing and building the system, experts in artificial intelligence and machine learning developed algorithms to reconstruct the frescoes.

The 2020 discovery of the skull was recently published in the Journal of Roman Archaeology, focusing on the Romans’ siege of La Loma.

“It has come from a huge frustration. It’s the most puzzling subject in Roman archaeology… So why can’t I download all Roman roads?” said Brughmans, the project’s principal researcher.

Some containers display early Christian monograms, while painted inscriptions - tituli picti - list producers, contents and tax codes.
