The DACA program, enacted by the Obama administration, gives work permits to immigrants who came to the United States illegally as children. DACA protects nearly 800,000 people, often called "Dreamers." The protesters came from a number of states to ask the first daughter and her husband, the senior advisor to the president, to exercise their influence on the matter.Mother of DREAMers fights and advocates for her children and DACAmented community. #DefendDACA #HereToStay @IvankaTrump @SpeakerRyan pic.twitter.com/2o5uGbtaqM

Trump will delay execution of the decision for six months in order to allow congress to find an alternative, two sources told Reuters. The president's decision to scrap the program throws into question the fate of many of these men and women. It would leave them without a way to renew their work visas, thus removing them from the United States work force.250 of my Apple coworkers are #Dreamers. I stand with them. They deserve our respect as equals and a solution rooted in American values.
