The man killed in a rocket attack on Ashkelon late Monday was identified as Mahmoud Abu Asbah, 48, a Palestinian from Halhoul, north of Hebron.Abu Asbah apparently worked in the building and government officials said he had permits to reside in Israel. A woman was seriously wounded in the attack.“The murder of a Palestinian worker from Halhoul who worked with permits and only wanted to make a living, is a tangible fact that Hamas terrorism is the enemy of everyone,” Deputy Minister Michael Oren said. “It does not distinguish between Israelis and Palestinians.”Ashkelon came under intense rocket fire on Monday with several projectiles landing inside the city and scoring direct hits on buildings and homes. Many of the rockets were intercepted by the Iron Dome defense system.
