Images show results of suspected Israeli airstrike outside of Damascus

New images show the impact of a reported IDF attack on an Iranian base outside of Damascus. The images, released by ImageSat International (ISI), show a number of buildings that were destroyed near the site's probable headquarters and administrative buildings.Israeli aircraft struck the Iranian base on Friday night, according to a report in Sky News.The images, dated November 16 and December 4, were recorded through the company's Eros-B satellite. In the pre-strike images, the military complex can be seen with probable headquarters, administrative building, at least six barracks, a probable washroom and a probable mosque or dining hall. The after images show the administrative building and barracks felled by the airstrike. Other images show vehicle storage units that were destroyed by the attack.A bombing crater and residual damage caused to the probable mosque or dining hall can be seen in a second image that was released.BBC reported in September that Iran established a military base south of Damascus about 50 kilometers north of the Golan Heights.According to foreign media reports, the Israeli fire was carried out from Lebanese airspace.
