Watch: Protests break out in Bethlehem on second 'day of rage'

Forty men and youth with signs denouncing US president Donald Trump and calling Jerusalem the capital of Palestine marched toward the security fence near Rachel’s Tomb in Bethlehem.

Dozens of masked Palestinian youth clashed with Israeli forces near the security wall in Bethlehem Friday.

Several were lightly wounded, three were evacuated by ambulance.

At noon, forty men and youth with signs denouncing US president Donald Trump and calling Jerusalem the capital of Palestine marched toward the security fence near Rachel’s Tomb in Bethlehem, a popular spot for Friday protests.

Israeli soldiers used tear gas to disperse the protesters.

More youth arrived with Molotov cocktails, slingshots and stones and started a fire that blackened the sky using tires near the Jacir Palace Hotel. It is the second Friday “day of rage” since the US recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

Palestinians and Arab residents of Israel have taken to the streets throughout the week against US President Donald Trump's decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
