Top Hezbollah official: Shi'ites and Sunnis will unite to fight Israel in next battle
Lebanese newspaper quotes Hezbollah's Executive Council chief as saying that group is preparing for the next confrontation with Israel, which will feature "thousands of our Sunni brothers."

Hezbollah's Executive Council chief Sheikh Nabil Qaouk said that Hezbollah is preparing for the next confrontation with Israel, in which thousands of Sunnis will join the Lebanese Shi'ite terror group, according to the Lebanese news site The Daily Star.Hezbollah's involvement in the Syrian civil war and support of the Syrian regime that is fighting Sunni forces, has exacerbated Lebanon's already fraught sectarian lines. Qaouk accused Israel of exploiting the sectarian aspect of the Syrian crisis to weaken Hezbollah“Hezbollah’s response to Israel’s bet on Sunni-Shi'ite strife is this: The resistance is preparing for the next war with Israel, and thousands of our Sunni brothers in Lebanon will be among the ranks [of the] resistance,” Qaouk said during a Hezbollah ceremony in Sidon, according the report. Qaouk said "takfiris" - a word that literally means those who label others apostates and is used to mean radical Sunni Jihadi groups like ISIS - do not represent Sunnis around the world, who they have killed in great numbers, and are rather "in a place of animosity against Sunnis and Shi'ites alike."Qaouk also believes that ISIS plans to extend their "emirate" into Lebanon through attacks on its borders.Israeli SpyIn a separate report from the same paper, Hezbollah’s deputy chief implied that reports of an Israeli spy's capture by Hezbollah last month were true. “There is no party in the world as big and sophisticated as Hezbollah that was able to stand with the same steadfastness despite some major infiltrations,” Naim Qassem told Hezbollah’s An-Nour radio station.“Hezbollah has worked intensely on battling espionage among its ranks and in its entourage. Some cases [of espionage] surfaced, and they are very limited cases,” he said, without mentioning the supposed Israeli spy by name.
