The six largest museums in Israel are putting on a series of exhibitions to mark Israel's 60th. Each museum will dedicate its exhibition to one particular decade in the State's history. The Israel Museum in Jerusalem is the first to open its exhibition, focusing on the most recent decade, 1998-2008. The exhibition, which opened April 29, features over 40 Israeli artists. The next exhibition opened in the Herzliya Museum on May 3. The rest of will open successively throughout the summer in Ein Harod, the Ashdod Art Museum, the Tel Aviv Art Museum, the Haifa Art Museum and the Mishkan LeOmanut respectively.
