The third Tel Aviv International Dance Festival will take place at the Suzanne Dellal Center and the Tel Aviv Performing Arts Center from October 16 to November 17, with a few of the 34 performances by 16 companies from Asia, the US and Europe also taking place at Rappaport and Krieger Halls within the framework of Haifa Dance.
Last here in 2000, the Hubbard Street Dance Chicago will return to TAPAC (October 29-30) with three pieces, including Gnawa by Nacho Duato, which his National Dance Company did here in the spring. The very gifted Barak Marshall will premiere Rooster(November 12-13) and Jose Antonio's National Ballet of Spain will present two of his pieces from November 5-6.
"If you will it, it is no dream," Herzl said, and indeed My Dream, to be danced by the Disabled Artists Performing Arts Company from Beijing, is just that. Choreographed by Gao Yanjinzi, it will be performed by the 100-strong company (October 17-18).
