Eli Gorenstein has won the NIS 10,000 Nissim Azikri Prize for his performance in Itruf (a made up word denoting island/madness) by Dana Idissis, in which he plays Saul, a man so obsessively in love with his wife that he invents a lover for her over whom to agonize.
Honorable mention went to Orit Nahmias for Lama Davka Ani? (Why Me?) in which a woman who has survived breast cancer learns that she has a new growth in her other breast, and to Gal Friedman for his portrayal of a naive schizophrenic in Balloon.
Judges Leah Kenig (actress), Moti Lerner (playwright) and Noya Lancet (director) also commented on the generally high standard of performance among all eight contestants.
