Two up-and-coming actors, Jesse Eisenberg (The Squid and the Whale) and Justin Bartha (National Treasure), have been cast in a "Jewsploitation" comic drama called Holy Rollers slated to begin next spring in New York.
The concept for the film is based on a true spate of 1990s-era crimes where Hassidic Jews were recruited as mules to smuggle drugs into the US.
The film follows an impressionable boy (Eisenberg), raised in an Orthodox Brooklyn community, as he's lured into becoming an Ecstacy dealer. His friend (Bartha), who has ties to an Israeli drug cartel, reels him into the decidedly unkosher business.
