In honor of Israel's 60th anniversary, the Ministry of Immigrant Absorption has developed a special project: a stirring photographic exhibition. The pictures tell the immigration and absorption story in chronological order from the birth of the nation until the present.
The exhibition is comprised of three main parts. They represent the greatest moments of illegal immigration to Israel toward the end of the British Mandate period; immigrating to Israel by sea, air and land; and the absorption process of millions of immigrants over the years. The 40 photographs in the exhibition both capture and convey a wide range of highly emotional moments from the collective memory of Israel.
The exhibition will take place at the Dizengoff Center in Tel Aviv from September 4 - 21.
