While media sources in Israel and England were reporting that Grammy-winning singer Amy Winehouse would be coming to Israel within weeks to undergo drug rehabilitation at Ashkelon's Barzilai Hospital, the medical center denied the reports on Sunday.
Dr. Andre Waismann, who heads the ANR (Accelerated Neuro-Regulation) clinic at Barzilai, said the singer was not on his list of patients. "I have never spoken to her, she has never contacted my clinic. All those reports are detrimental to my name because I do treat patients that are well-known and they deserve privacy when it comes to issues related to their health," his statement said.
"I would never discuss any information about patients who approach the clinic."
