The first two Los Angeles-Israel opera workshops were such a success that the Israel and Los Angeles Operas (LAO), in cooperation with the Jewish Federation, have decided to hold a third from March 6-20.
This year's emphasis is on operas and musicals by Jewish composers. The participants are 10 singers from the Israel Opera Studio and LAO tenors Timur Victor Bekbossunov, Edgar Ernesto and Ramirez Lopes-Gomez. LAO director Vera Kalabria will also head the workshop together with Israel Opera Studio head Tamir Hasson.
