Actor Charlie Sheen defended himself against allegations of anti-Semitism on Saturday, after he ranted against "Two and a Half Men" creator Chuck Lorre."By invoking television producer Chuck Lorre's Jewish name in the context of a tirade against him, Charlie Sheen left the impression that another reason for his dislike of Mr. Lorre is his Jewishness," ADL National Director Abe Foxman said. "This fact has no relevance to Mr. Sheen's complaint or disagreement, and his words are at best bizarre, and at worst, borderline anti-Semitism."RELATED:Borat: I agree with Mel GibsonDior suspends Galliano for alleged anti-SemitismIn response, Sheen wrote to gossip site TMZ that he was "referring to Chuck by his real name, because I wanted to address the man, not the bulsh**t TV persona.""So you're telling me, anytime someone calls me Carlos Estevez, I can claim they are anti-Latino?" Sheen continued, referring to his real name.In an open letter penned to TMZ earlier last week, Sheen referred to Lorre in his Hebrew name, Haim Levine, calling him a "contaminated little maggot" that "can't handle my power and can't handle the truth. I wish him nothing but pain in his silly travels, especially if they wind up in my octagon."The letter continues: "Clearly I have defeated this earthworm with my words - imagine what I would have done with my fire breathing fists. I urge all my beautiful and loyal fans who embraced this show for almost a decade to walk with me side-by-side as we march up the steps of justice to right this unconscionable wrong," he wrote, referring to the cancellation of the hit show, in which Sheen is one of the titular "Two and a Half Men."CBS and Warner Brothers shut down production of the popular sitcom on Thursday, after Sheen was repeatedly found abusing drugs and ranted against Lorre on a radio interview. Sheen also said that he cured his alcoholism with his mind and does not intend to go to rehab, and called himself a "high priest Vatican assassin warlock.""I'm an F-18, bro, and I will destroy you in the air and deploy my ordnance to the ground," he said on the radio. "I got magic and I got poetry at my fingertips."
