Maya Gur Arieh is a breaking news writer and editor at The Jerusalem Post, where she has worked since February 2024. Born in Israel, she grew up in Canada following her family’s relocation. In 2018, she made aliyah and served as a lone soldier in the IDF while residing on Kibbutz Kissufim. Today, Maya is an undergraduate student at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, studying in a dual-degree track of political science and communications and journalism. She currently lives in Jerusalem.
