Tensions in the Middle East escalate; Israel is ready to protect its borders

On Saturday, dozens of Iranian and Syrian targets which are located in Syria were struck by The Israel Defense Forces.
Furthermore, an unmanned Iranian vehicle was launched from Syria which has caused an exchange of fire and air raid sirens sounded in the Golan Heights.

Israeli fighter pilots of F-16 were made to abandon their jet in order to save their lives during the operation. Moreover, the F-16 jet sustained damage from Syrian fire; and the fighter pilots were taken to hospital. According to sources their condition is now stable.
According to sources, Brigadier General Ronen Manelis and Israel Defense Forces spokesperson said that: “We are prepared for a variety of incidents... whoever is responsible for this incident is the one who will pay the price.”
Certainly, before this exhortation Syrian state media reported about “new Israeli aggression” saying that the Israeli army had fired missiles on its army. According to their words the target was a military base near Damascus.
It is important to mention that Hezbollah strongly supports the Syrian regime. Notably, Israel confirmed that it has carried out strikes against convoys of weapons.
Due to this situation, it is important to clarify that Israel is obligated to keep safe its borders and does not allow those who want its destruction to succeed.
Additionally, the Israeli military said Saturday Iran and Syria were “playing with fire,” however Israel determined that it does not want escalation.
"Israel was not created in order to disappear - Israel will endure and flourish. It is the child of hope and the home of the brave. It can neither be broken by adversity nor demoralized by success. It carries the shield of democracy and it honors the sword of freedom."
