By KAROLINA CHOJNACKATony talked and sang beautifully in English so I approached him to learn more about that interesting man from Australia."I was born in Australia and came to Jerusalem at the of 21. That was the time many people were coming as the Zionists. I went to the army and after that there was a big demand for well-educated immigrants to teach the citizens of Israel so I taught mathematics. I worked as an engineer for many, many jobs throughout the country. That was one of the reasons I went to Africa for lots of years. I worked in jungles, only crazy people can work there. Africans were very interesting people with different mentality. That was a big challenge because I was teaching these people to become engineers…It’s very important for me to keep learning. I am still active in my profession and more than that I keep studying mathematics. I try to be a great mind. Do you want to know why I cannot be a great one? To write a book you need to have a lot of material. It has to be some motive, it has to have something that interests people, it’s not easy to find that… I started writing a book but after 200 pages I realized I was going nowhere… so now I don’t know if I will ever write a book. You know, you have to have a reason to do it and if you don’t, it’s not worth your time. Maybe I can do something instead or maybe you can write a book?”
