A Negotiating And Ethics Lesson That Has Stood The Test Of Time...

Welcome to my fifth Jerusalem Post blog...
This is sequel to an earlier blog in which I wrote about an Israeli client who had made me proud...
In that blog, I referred to a story that I wrote about this: “Hey, I’m Talking To YOU! — Choice And An Unspoken Communication About Ethics.” 
That tale was about how my Israeli client had made a quite critical choice and how, in the process, he had won the trust and admiration of his national and international team. It is also about how you can communicate your ethical values indirectly. Hence the title of my blog...
Here’s a sequel to that story…
This blog is a sequel to that same story. Again, I have told it in greater detail in a blog that I called: "Hey, Are You Talking To ME?"  It is about the negotiations we attended in Singapore and about a negotiating lesson that has stood the test of time.
I must admit that what embarrassed me at the time that I was unable to figure out the nuances of what I had experienced. In this blog, I wanted to offer you the opportunity to see if you could do better than I did in figuring out those nuances. In a spirit of goodwill, I thought I might even offer you a clue: "The word LISTEN contains the same letters as the word SILENT." I hope this will help you and that you will do better than me!
Finally, these two stories have also served to highlight what I have always known: "The most valuable lessons aren't taught, they're experienced..."  Ain't this the truth?  :-)
