Are we to respond to this.......
President Obama, has proven he is no threat to Israel, parhaps maybe a waste of time, money and human capital, but no danger. It is safe to say the same for the EU. But, can that be said about the UN? No, they are a danger to our exsistance as a Jewish state. How are we to respond to them? Since the 1920 British mandate of Palestine onward, the international community has been working dillgrntly to deny Jews a homelamd of there own.
UNESCO, the UN body responsible for protecting historical and archeological sites throughout the world, has honored a request by the Palestinian Authority that it refer to the Temple Mount site using the term "Al-Aqsa mosque" only, not the Temple Mount. Souldn't this disquify the Palestinian Authority as our partner in peace, and earned them all a retum ticket back to Tunis? If not, why not?
This means that UNESCO's position denies any connection between Mount Moriah, the Temple Mount, the First and Second Jewish Temples and rejected Israel's position that the Temple Mount is the holiest site for the Jewish people, and ignores the historic connection of Judaism to the Temple Mount, where the two temples stood for a thousand years and to which every Jew in the world has prayed for thousands of years.
This is a Palestinians campaign against Israel and the Jews' ties to Jerusalem and other holy and historic places. How are we expected to sit down with these guys and allow them to govern within our nation? Why would the UN think we would accept a state along side and within ours that continously works only to remove Jews from their land?
As far as the Palestinians are concerned, the recent waves of terrorism, which was born from incitement and likes about the Temple Mount, aren't enough for them. A decision to divorce the Jewish people from the Western Wall and Temple Mount has lead to bloodshed. The UN decision is anattempt to rewrite history, rewrite reality as part of their ongoing political campaign against Israel and the Jewish people. Palestinian incitement regarding the Temple Mount, which has been proven time and time again… has already cost the lives of dozens of Israelis and will continue to do so, as long as Abbas and the PLO function as the PA, and the UN continue their efforts to replace the Jews in Israel.
The UNESCO’s executive board motion this past Friday refers to the Temple Mount solely as ‘Al-Aqsa Mosque’ and the Western Wall as the Al-Buraq Plaza, ignoring any Jewish claim to these sites. The resolution called Israel the occupying power, condemning Israel for illegal measures against the freedom of worship at the “Muslim holy site of worship”, and blaming “Israels aggression” for the violence at the site. It had no mention of the role of Muslim rioters. It also condemned Israel’s plans to establish an egalitarian, non Orthodox prayer section by Robinson’s Arch. Yair Lapid, has addressed this issue to the UN saying,“Your decision only serves to extend this current wave of terror and will only lead to the deaths of more innocent people,” he continued, “You cannot evade this responsibility.”
Furthermore, The UN accused Israel of “planting Jewish fake graves in spaces of the Muslim cemeteries located on Waqf property east and south of the Temple Mount. It referred to Hebron and Bethlehem as solely “Palestinian sites”.
Israeli ambassador to UNESCO, Carmel Shama, released a statement saying, “Even if UNESCO passes dozens of resolutions, and decides to continue passing thousands more, Jerusalem will always remain the capital of Israel and the Jewish people.” Shama added, “As you continue on this path of incitement, lies and terror you will be sending UNESCO down a path towards irrelevance.”
A Palestinian state that would come into existence, under Abbas and the PLO will be a dictatorship that will not protect and uphold the human rights for its people on the principals established by the UN for the purpose of its being. It will never give the quality of life and freedom like those that live in the nations that are promoting such as state. It will pose a security threat to the State of Israel as well as to its own people that live under Abbas and the PLO. Incitement and anti Semitic hate spewing out of the mouths of Palestinian leaders with no gesture for peace where two peoples can live side by side as it has been orchestrated for many years. The Palestinians have fell victim to despair, due to UN Resolutions, hopelessness and disillusion, due to the UN's inability to provide a normal, robust and healthy standard of living for them. The UN has failed to do so, not because of Israels existence, but because of the UN's inability to reconcile with reality, and truth. It is the UN that leaves the Palestinians victims of their own emptiness consisting of the constant eruption of violence against Israelis, raised to hate Jews and annihilate Israel.
Obama, plans to make one more desperate bid for peace between Israel and the Palestinians by way of the UN Security Council. Adding insult to injury. The UN's is widely recognized as unfairly critical of Israel, which has been subject to more disproportionately UN resolutions than any other country. The United Nations Human Rights Council has directly blamed Israel again and again for violence and unrest in the region. So, Obama's gesture has nothing to do with advancing the cause of “Peace”.
As it was said in January, UN's Ban Ki-moon announced, “It is human nature to resist occupation.” As Palestinians are doing while stabbing Israeli Jews and the UN’s response is to reflexively condemn Israel. In late of 2015, the UN condemned Israel for holding on to the Golan Heights, demanding Israel hand the land and its people to Syria, this is, no mind you at a time when the Syrian regime is massacring its own people, while hundreds of Palestinians are being slaughtered, maimed and expelled by Assad’s forces.Today’s farce at the General Assembly underscores a simple fact, the UN has no interest in truly helping Palestinians, nor in protecting anyone’s human rights. Its only about the “Final Solution” for the Jews.
For the past nearly 50 years the UN continues to exert all efforts to promote the rights of the Palestinian people, including their right to self determination, an end to the Israeli occupation, and to establish the two states on the basis of the pre 1967 borders without any tactfulness to achieving such a goal.
There was such a cult like that of the UN that came about in1985. Its followers came from across the globe, like places such as the US, UK, Switzerland, France, and Canada, the group become known as the “Order of the Solar Temple”. It drew inspiration from the Rosicrucians and the Knights Templar. They caused excitement throughout Europe by declaring the existence of a secret brotherhood of alchemists and sages who were preparing to transform the arts, sciences, religion, political and intellectual landscape of Europe. Wars of politics and religion ravaged the continent. The Poor Fellow Soldiers of Christ and of the Temple of Solomon, commonly known as the Knights Templar, the Order of Solomon's Temple, were among the wealthiest and most powerful of the Western Christian military order and were prominent actors in Christian finance. The organization existed for nearly two centuries during the Middle Ages. Templar knights, in their distinctive white mantles with a red cross, were among the most skilled fighting units of the Crusades non-ombatant members of the Order managed a large economic infrastructure throughout Christendom, innovating financial techniques that were an early form of banking and building fortifications across Europe and the Holy Land. Sound familiar?
Its membership, were people of middle and upper class. The Solar Temple, which bounced between headquarters in Switzerland and Canada, saw decline in the 1990's. There were high-profile defections, gun charges, and allegations of sexual misconduct. In 1994, the group made good on its belief that members would need to ascend to a different spiritual plane in order to survive the environmental apocalypse and be reborn on a planet orbiting the Sirius, the Dog Star. Their method of transformation, was “Fire”. At the end of September 1994, the group killed all its members who’d spoken against them. And from 1995 to 1997, the remaining members were found burned to death inside their homes, most of which had been killed prior to the fire.
