Following an agreement with the Airports Authority, Arkia announced the launch of a new flight schedule between Ben Gurion Airport and Eilat, which includes a significant addition of flights.

As part of the agreement, Arkia will operate no less than six daily flights to and from Eilat. In addition, the company will return to operating the requested morning flight from Ramon Airport to Netanya, at 6:30 AM.

"After much effort, we came to an understanding regarding the need to thicken the line to Eilat," said Arkia CEO Oz Berlovitz - "I would like to thank the Minister of Transportation Miri Regev, the CEO of her office Moshe Ben Zaken, the Mayor of Eilat Eli Lankri, the CEO of the Authority Amnon Cohen Airports and the Director of the National Airport of Israel Odi Bar Oz. A special thanks to the Director of RTA Shmulik Zakai for the supreme effort he made to reach an understanding and for the residents of Eilat and the Israeli companies."

Director General of the Ministry of Transportation, Moshe Ben Zaken: "Strengthening the relationship with Eilat is an important goal of the Ministry of Transportation and its importance has increased even more following the events of October 7 and the arrival of tens of thousands of evacuees to hotels in Eilat. As part of the transport minister's uncompromising commitment to connecting the center to the periphery, it led to an increase in the number of daily services between Tel Aviv and Eilat, for the benefit of all the residents of Israel, especially the residents of Eilat and those moving there.
