Avnet ASIC Israel (AAI), a leading provider of end-to-end solutions in the ASIC chip and system-on-chip field, has signed a collaboration agreement with TSMC, the world's largest chip manufacturer. As part of the collaboration, the Taiwanese giant has appointed Avnet ASIC to be a Value Chain Aggregator (VCA), a designation that will allow the company to provide Israeli and international start-ups and hi-tech companies with a wide range of services, from chip specification to design, and to the production of silicon using TSMC's most advanced manufacturing processes.
Avnet ASIC Israel is a center for designing and manufacturing ASIC chips (chips designed for specific customers for specific applications) that offers a full range of ASIC design and manufacturing services. The company has been supporting existing and new customers in Israel and Europe for decades, successfully providing services to start-ups, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), and international companies for hundreds of products across a wide variety of sectors. Avnet ASIC will integrate design capabilities into TSMC's Open Innovation Platform (OIP) and offer services at every stage in the chip value chain, including in intellectual property (IP) development, design, silicon wafer production, assembly, and testing.
