During the traditional Purim event, which included music, holiday decorations and refreshments, Golda employees arrived at the company's "ice cream van" and distributed ice cream dishes to the hundreds of families who come every week to the "Pitchon-Lev" aid center in Rishon Lezion to receive food baskets and humanitarian aid .
On top of that, the company helped with more than 1,300 costumes that were donated to the event, and distributed to children and families.
As part of the event, the aid center was decorated for one day with music, holiday decorations and balloons, ears of corn and refreshments, alongside an entertainer and a singer who was brought in to entertain the aid recipients, together with the employees of the "Golda" company and dozens of "Pitchon-Lev" volunteers, who came to make those who came ahead of Purim happy .
Adi Erez Avital, Golda's marketing manager: "In preparation for Purim, we at the 'Golda' chain in collaboration with "Mommy" went together in a national second-hand costume collection operation. All customers were invited to our branches to donate a costume and receive a scoop of ice cream as a gift. I'm happy to tell that had a tremendous response! We collected about 2,000 Costumes, a tremendous sense of satisfaction. We also did a good deed, we were able to make the customers happy and also protect the planet together.
The costumes were donated at three centers - the welfare center of Kiryat Malachi, Beit Dani in the Shapira neighborhood of Tel Aviv and the central center in 'Pitchon-Lev'. There were concentrated days of distributing the costumes Along with ice cream for everyone who came."
Eli Cohen, CEO of the "Pitchon-Lev" organization: "It's exciting to see the smiles on the faces of the many children and families who enjoyed a real Purim celebration. The cooperation with 'Golda', at a difficult time for the State of Israel, and for the families in the poverty circle in particular, gave the children and families the opportunity to celebrate the holiday with dignity and a good atmosphere, and we had the right to bring them a little happiness and joy."
