The annual international tourism exhibition IMTM 2024 - International Mediterranean Tourism Market will mark the 30th anniversary of its establishment and will be held at EXPO Tel Aviv between April 3-4, 2024. This year too, dozens of exhibits from a large number of countries from around the world are expected to arrive. Among them is the Czech Republic with good news - the launch of a direct flight to Karlovy Vary.
Karlovy Vary, also known by its German name Carlsbad, is a well-known healing and resort town in West Bohemia in the Czech Republic. The city serves as the capital of the westernmost district of the Czech Republic, which has the same name, Karlovy Vary, and is located about 130 km west of the Czech capital, Prague. There are a dozen hot springs and many spa places in the city.
This destination is a favorite among Israelis who usually come to Prague and from there drive 3 hours to the pastoral town.
Despite the situation, the Czech Republic, which is known as a very good friend of Israel, is launching a regular flight from Tel Aviv to Karlovy Vary Airport that will fly every Thursday starting May 23, 2024. The line will be operated by Corendon Airlines using A320 aircraft of its contractual partner, TUS Airways of Cyprus. Overseas Travel will launch online ticket sales through online ticket servers Kiwi, Kayak, Skyscanner and others.
Eyal Shmueli, publisher of ITN (ISRAEL TRAVEL NEWS) and organizers of the IMTM exhibition: "Despite the tensions and the situation in the industry, we are happy to see that more and more countries are announcing their participation in the exhibition, including Taiwan, Vietnam, France, El Salvador and the Czech Republic - which is announcing a direct flight To the spa destination that is loved by Israeli tourists, Karlovy Vary. If usually the Israeli tourists had to drive for hours to reach their favorite destination, the solution will now make it easier for them and reduce their time on vacation. This is good news from the Czech Republic which, despite the situation in Israel, continues to operate flights to popular cities and now also to the favorite destination which will probably be filled with Israeli tourists this year."
Finney Criner, CEO of Overseas Travel: "We believe that this line will quickly find its customers both in Israel and in the Karlovy Vary region. The direct flight will allow Israeli tourists to reach the beautiful UNESCO Spa Triangle directly and increase the comfort of their trip. For Czech tourists and businessmen, this route will expand the range of options for transit between the two countries."
