A few days ago, news was published in the media about transactions with a skyrocketing value of apartments purchased by non-residents in the capital city. These transactions reflect a huge value of up to half a million shekels per meter. Well, the apartment in front of us was also purchased by an American family and is also located for them in the capital city, needless to say that the value of the deal is unknown and has not been published, and now the family is spending Passover as usual in the holiest city in the world.
Interior designer Shay David is responsible for the design and planning of the project, and it was purchased by a traditional family, a couple plus 4 children, as mentioned from the USA. The house, about 190 square meters + 80 square meters of garden, is spread over three floors and is, of course In Jerusalem, a project that underwent a complete renovation. The family stays in Israel for about two months a year and the rest of the year the house is mostly empty. The designer Shai David connected all the floors with a beautiful visual element, a staircase designed in luxurious Carrara marble and a brass railing.
David also knew how to combine ethnic elements that correspond with Jerusalem, thanks to unique lighting fixtures and luxury chandeliers that are like jewels in public spaces mainly. The private space is separated from the public space, thanks to a closet that is connected to the kitchen and on the other side is used as storage and forms a buffer between the spaces, which makes it possible to maintain intimacy and modesty. The spacious kitchen and the dominant island in the center cannot be ignored. The island is clad in marble with rust capillaries and a light gray shade.
Pleasant and precise tones, which inspired the designer and are repeated in the public space, if it is thanks to the furniture in the living room that is characterized by blue-light touches throughout the public space. For the dining table, a round table was chosen with an opening for entertaining many participants, surrounded by luxurious armchairs and a chandelier hanging from the ceiling.
The bedrooms are pleasant and calm, with an abundance of textiles that hug and add a lot of warmth. The shades chosen for the purity of the cream, with careful touches of brass. The developers underwent a faithful restoration to the original, for which Belgian aluminum frames were chosen rather than wood. This is also how the exterior Jerusalem stone of the house was renewed. The balcony is colorful, includes a dining table, low seating systems, a barbecue area with Jerusalem stone paving and a porcelain granite floor - the feeling is very Jerusalem.
