El Al's winter flight deals are quite enticing, offering tickets for flights between November and March next year at discounted prices. Europe around $300-200, and destinations in the US and the East starting from $800. Any catch? Not really.
El Al presents a rather decent flight deal, inviting customers to book flights for the "off-peak" winter season - from November to March - at reduced rates. However, this offer is restricted to a few days for bookings until May 12, 2024, or until stocks last (whichever is earlier). Tickets are valid for flights between November 3, 2024, and March 29, 2025.
For instance, we found tickets to Berlin at $207 roundtrip in February, as well as to Vienna in November, or $260 to Rome in March. The aforementioned prices are in the LITE category - meaning flight with carry-on luggage only.
El Al's offer doesn't just come out of the blue. Firstly, the aim is to fill planes during the less hot season - winter. Secondly, EasyJet, which announced it wouldn't fly to Israel until November due to "concerns for passenger safety", will resume flights just when the offer begins, and El Al wants to compete with it on the discounted prices it will surely offer, suddenly smiling at the Israeli traveler.
From Malaga to Los Angeles
Among the European destinations participating in El Al's winter deal are Malaga, Athens, Kishinev (Chisinau), Tbilisi, Bucharest, Sofia, Berlin, Krakow, Budapest, Prague, Vienna, Milan, Zurich, Rome, Tivat (Tivat), Barcelona, Varna (Varna), Madrid, Munich, Barcelona, Paris, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Dubai, Lisbon, London (Luton).
In addition, the offer is valid for distant destinations of the company: Boston, New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Tokyo, and Bangkok. Prices for long-haul flights start from $900-800 per ticket.
El Al recommends adding the "El Al PROTECT" product to the booking (for Classic category tickets), allowing cancellation of the flight ticket up to 24 hours before departure and receiving a full refund voucher. The price per passenger is $29.
Furthermore, frequent flyer club members will enjoy a special benefit, including an improved conversion rate: every 100 points will be worth a $1 discount for redeeming in these flights (except airport taxes, which cannot be paid with points). The benefit is available for redemption until May 12 (inclusive) and will be automatically provided when booking a flight ticket using points.
